The Gathering // Sundays at 10AM
As the Apostle Paul stood on trial before King Agrippa he told of his conversion experience – how he had come to believe that Jesus was in fact the Messiah. Agrippa was taken back by Paul's testimony and explanation of the gospel, and he asked Paul “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”.
According to culture, it has probably always been a faux pas to try to convert someone to a different religion, but in the modern West, this is especially seen as inappropriate. And yet, here we have the Apostle Paul – one of the greatest followers of Jesus to ever live – seeking to convert King Agrippa.
This begs the question, "How should we go about making new disciples of Jesus?" In a culture that is suspect of proselytizing, how can we best obey Jesus by calling people to repentance and faith?
