Prepare for Sunday // May 8th
In a Porterbrook Teaching Module entitled Engaging Globally, Tim Chester and Steve Timmis state that, "Each church should know how to interpret its surrounding culture in the light of the gospel." In other words, each church must learn how to contextualize the gospel. The gospel is an eternal, never-changing message, but in order to make the gospel clear, we must learn how to translate it into each individual culture.
This week we'll be studying Acts 17, and we'll get to see exactly how the Apostle Paul contextualized the gospel to the Athenian people. This is a massively important text, and we can't wait to study it together with everyone.
